Before becoming a full-time professor and academic coordinator in 2013, Dr. Carreras held different supervisory positions in industry including accounting, engineering, and customer services. He also had his own consulting firm.

Aside from the learning outcomes of each course, I want my student to learn how to think, question, analyze, and solve problems.

What advice would you give to students considering an online public administration programs?
Establish a routine for studying and posting assignments. You'll be done before you know it!
What qualities make someone particularly successful in business?
My 35 years experience in industry allows me bring a practical application to the theoretical concepts found in the textbooks.
Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know about you.
I started teaching when I was eight. I taught my three-year-old sister to read in Spanish over a summer.
